Directors

Joshua N. Pedde, assistant artistic director for the Indianapolis Children’s Choir, has been with the ICC for thirteen years. Mr. Pedde is the principal director of the Bel Canto choir and assistant director for the Cantantes Angeli choir. In his role as director of the Indianapolis Children’s Choir Innovations program he frequently provides music education workshops to public and private schools throughout central Indiana.

Mr. Pedde has conducted on numerous stages both nationally and internationally, which have included the premier of the children’s opera, The Trio of Minuet. Internationally he has conducted at Canterbury and Westminster Cathedrals in England; the Vatican, San Marco, and the Basilica of Saint John Lateran in Italy; San Francisco el Grande Basilica, Madrid, La Segura Familia, Inglesia Nuestra Senora de Los Angeles, and Santa Maria Del Pi, Barcelona, Spain. In 2003 he premiered the work "The Wraggle Taggle Gypsies" by Irish composer Mary McAuliffe at the National Concert Hall in Dublin. He also recently conducted at the Kennedy Center, the Wang Theater, and Avery Fisher Hall at Lincoln Center for the Performing Arts in the United States.
 

Robyn Reeves Lana is the Founder, Managing Artistic Director and Conductor of the award winning Cincinnati Children’s Choir (CCC), Ensemble-in-Residence at the University of Cincinnati College-Conservatory of Music (CCM). Together with CCM, CCC hosted the Chorus America Conducting Masterclass in January 2013. Under her leadership, CCC earned a gold medal in the 2012 World Choir Games.

Lana has directed international, state and regional honor and festival choirs, including Florida, Georgia (2015), Kentucky, Indiana, Mississippi, New Jersey, New York, Ohio, Pennsylvania, South Carolina, Tennessee, Wisconsin, American Choral Directors Association (ACDA) Southern Division, an international children’s festival choir at Carnegie Hall, and will co-conduct a Chinese/American festival choir in Beijing, China in 2014. She is a founding co-director of the Coastal Song Children’s Choir Festival and hosts the Queen City Children’s Choir Festival in Cincinnati annually. Her choirs have performed for State, Regional, and National professional development conferences including ACDA Central Division and the American Orff Schulwerk Association National. She has presented workshops for the World Choir Games 2012, NAfME state and regional conventions (Arizona, Indiana, Mississippi, New Jersey, New York, Ohio, Pennsylvania, Tennessee), Chamber Music America National Convention, and regionally at colleges and universities.
